Have your say on the future of Europe: discover the “Reflecting on Europe” campaign
“Reflecting on Europe” is an initiative of the European Committee of the Regions (CoR), providing a platform for citizen engagement in the ongoing debate on the future of Europe.
Through the dedicated online survey and over 130 local debates across the EU, organised in cooperation with local and regional partners, the CoR provides citizens with opportunities to share their views and proposals on how the EU should evolve in the next decade.
The collected feedback will feed into the CoR opinion on “Reflecting on Europe: the voice of regional and local authorities to rebuild trust in the European Union”, to be adopted in October 2018, ahead of the launching of the campaign for the European elections in 2019.
This April, a first report on the campaign is published summarising the feedback given by the citizens during the local debates and through the online survey.
Throughout 2018, “Reflecting on Europe” will continue to support local events organised at the initiative of CoR Members, regions, cities, their national and regional associations, and in partnership with other EU institutions. Political debates in this context can also be initiated by regional parliaments or local councils.
